Adoption Application
Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our animals! Please be sure to fill out the following form thoroughly and honestly, in order for us to determine whether the dog or cat that you're interested in will be a good fit in your home.
We choose homes based on the best possible match rather than on a first come first serve basis. Your application will be reviewed within 2-5 days! If you do not get a reply, it may mean that the pet you applied for has already found its forever home or we have chosen another applicant.

Can I apply for more than one animal?
Yes, you may put the names of multiple animals in your application.
The animal I applied for was adopted. Do I need to apply again for another?
No, we can consider the same application for another animal. To initiate this, visit your email confirmation you received after sending your application in, and click "Edit Form." Change the "Pet Name" section to the new animal(s) of interest.
If you are extremely interested in another animal, you may also contact us at adoptions@vida4animals.org to get your application under consideration faster.
I haven't gotten a response yet to my application!
This may mean that we have chosen someone else to adopt the animal you applied for and are in the process of completing that adoption. We often get 10+ applications for each animal and can only pick one. However, this does not necessarily mean you are a bad applicant. Please double check that the animal you applied for is still posted. If not, it is likely they have been adopted. If they are still posted, and you haven't gotten a response within 5 business days, you can reach out to double check on the status of your application.
If the animal you have applied for was adopted and you are strongly interested in a different animal that you see posted, please reach out at adoptions@vida4animals.org to expedite getting your application considered for a new animal.
